First Step Pregnancy Clinic exists to provide compassionate care and practical support to women and men facing unexpected pregnancies and related concerns, in a warm and professional environment, and without regard to race, gender, age, or circumstances.
                      History
Founded in 1988, by a group of concerned individuals wanting to address the problem of teen pregnancy in a culture of legalized abortion in Vermont. Soon an office was opened and volunteers offered services such as pregnancy counseling, referrals and parenting classes. Over the years the organization grew, with the support of individuals, churches, businesses and the local community. Services were added including prevention education, healthy relationship classes, and a baby boutique.
